AH is a senior in high school this year. He insisted that we keep up our tradition of visiting the Science Museum of Minnesota on the first day of "school." Definitely a traditionalist!
A Huge, 3 story astronaut at the Science Museum of Minnesota floats in "space."
Took this picture because of this one:
How does time fly so fast?
We did break from tradition and visited the Minnesota History Center as well. This is in the "Greatest Generation Exhibit"
Of course it was time for lunch! So we headed to Grand Avenue in St. Paul to Punch Pizza!
Sound familiar? It's the small business President Obama recognized in one of his State of the Union speeches. They increased their starting wage to $10.00/hour before any legislation forced them to. They are a success story! And that was the starting point of an interesting discussion during lunch.
And for dessert?
A sweet way to end our field trip.
